Kongress am Park is one of Augsburg’s leading venues for congresses, conferences and events, and a key event location in southern Germany. What began with a large-scale LED display above the main entrance has since evolved into a comprehensive digital signage solution across numerous touchpoints. Today, the new digital information displays guide guests throughout their entire visit.
Making an Impact Before Guests Even Enter
Positioned directly above the main entrance, the approximately 7.5-metre-wide LED display replaces the previous analogue banner solution and draws attention to upcoming events before guests even enter the building.
Designed for permanent outdoor use, the LED solution combines high brightness for excellent visibility with a robust construction that ensures reliable operation in a wide range of weather conditions.
Particular attention was paid to integrating the display into the existing architecture. In close coordination with the heritage conservation authorities and the architectural firm, the installation was designed to blend harmoniously into the distinctive façade while preserving the building’s unique character.
Digital Information Throughout the Guest Journey
Digital communication now continues seamlessly inside the venue. New screens and digital signage totems have been installed exactly where guests need orientation and information:
- A 55-inch high-brightness window display at the glass façade attracts attention in the entrance area.
- Additional displays and a digital totem in the foyer provide further opportunities for welcome messages, notices and event information. Two 55-inch screens have been integrated into an overhead architectural feature, positioning them directly above the route guests take into the foyer.
- The system is complemented by a video wall consisting of three individual portrait-format screens. Its unusual layout creates an additional visual focal point and opens up new possibilities for presenting content.
- At the entrances to the event halls, guests can find all the information they need. A 43-inch screen and several mobile totems with integrated 55-inch displays can be used for welcome messages, programme information, floor plans and wayfinding throughout the venue.
- Seven compact 13-inch screens positioned directly outside individual event rooms provide clear room identification and can be updated to match each event.
The Right Information in the Right Place
From welcome messages, event details, service information and floor plans to image films, logo animations, Wi-Fi information and organisational notices, the system enables relevant content to be communicated flexibly at every individual touchpoint. Information can be updated at short notice, while each display can be managed individually.
For Kongress am Park, this means significantly greater flexibility in day-to-day event operations. Information can be adapted quickly to different events and requirements, guests receive relevant information throughout their journey, and the numerous digital displays create a consistent and professional overall appearance across the venue. Events can be promoted prominently both outside the building and throughout the interior.
